About The Conference
Actuarial Science Conference (ACTCON - 2025) at Bishop Heber College (Autonomous) organized by PG Department of Actuarial Science is pleasing to extend a cordial invitation for the International Conference on Actuarial Data Science Innovations for Sustainable Finance and ESG. This conference is focusing on bridging actuarial science, data analytics, and ESG, also this will unite experts and professionals to explore innovations for sustainable financial solutions. In addition, It will accentuate the participants on how actuarial techniques and data science innovations can drive sustainable financial practices while addressing the primary tenets of ESG. About the Department
The Department of Actuarial Science at Bishop Heber College (Autonomous) has its own history since 1991. Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS) was started by Bishop Heber College with the assistance of LIC and IAI (Institute of Actuaries of India) in the year 1991, Bishop Heber College is the pioneer in offering Actuarial Science programme in South Asia. Then the Department was made independent by introducing Master's in the year 2002. Further, Bachelor's in Actuarial Mathematical Science was started in June 2012. Bishop Heber college is one of the IAI accredited institutes for Actuarial studies in India. The emerging trend in insurance, its increasing scope and the need for actuarial professionals have increased the demand of the actuarial studies.

Here is our event schedule
An engaging group discussion competition open to both UG and PG students, exploring topics ranging from International economics, Business, Finance to actuarial science and statistics. Rounds will be structured based on participation, with allotments announced on the discussion day. Each group can only accommodate 15 participants. Agenda will be provided 15 minutes before the discussion begins. Participants must rely solely on their knowledge as internet access is prohibited. Each session will be concluded based on the topic that has been thoroughly explored. The registration fee for this event is Rs. 300.
Participants are invited to showcase their creativity and analytical skills in the Risk Reframe E-Poster Making Competition.
Submissions are to be made by 18.1.2025, with the link given in conference website. The theme are
Risk Management: Preparation for the unexpected
Insurance: (i) Necessity or a Luxury (ii) Use of AI for Insurance.
The top 10 posters will be selected, and the creators will be informed in advance to present their posters during the conference.
Only the selected participants will require to pay an entry fee for the conference of Rs.300 . Let your designs speak innovation and expertise!
The authors are pleasingly invited to submit the abstract of their original, unpublished, research contribution which is not currently under review by another conference or journal. Only the accepted and registered papers will be allowed to present in the conference. The authors are requested to electronically submit their abstract as per the given template (available in the Downloads menu of the conference website).
